Voir la Mer: Underwater Archaeological Inventory in the Parc du Bic (2021)

This underwater archaeological inventory was carried out in the Parc du Bic in the fall of 2021. It is part of a multidisciplinary approach undertaken with the Voir la Mer project, funded by the Odyssée program of the Réseau du Québec Maritime as well as by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications of Québec. Started in 2019, this project is a scientific partnership between UQAR-ISMER, CIDCO, CDRIN, Super Splendide and IRHMAS.

In 2021, a team of divers visited the Scotsman wreck to document its state of preservation and to continue the photo and video coverage of the site. Soils samples were also taken around the wreck and some date were recovered regarding the impact of the current.

This document is the archaeological mission report as presented to the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications of Québec.
