This project consists of restoring a Smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) bed in the Sacré-Coeur salt marsh, affected by coastal erosion. Following the results obtained during the biophysical characterization of the environment, restoration actions were implemented in spring 2019 and spring 2020 in order to maintain the biodiversity and richness of the environment in the long term, i.e.:
- A transplantation of 4,100 units of Smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) in 2019 representing an estimated restoration area of 2,089 m²;
- A transplantation of 3,300 units of Smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) in 2020 representing an estimated restoration area of 1,688 m².
The biophysical characterization work and monitoring report include a biological characterization of flora and fauna species, a geomorphological characterization of the area as well as an orthophotography of the area by aerial photography. The report also contains the transplantation work of Smooth cordgrass (Spartina alterniflora) carried out in 2019 and 2020.
