Title
University of Manitoba
Description
The University of Manitoba is western Canada’s first university, established in 1877, and located on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. The University of Manitoba is committed to Indigenous Achievement and to ensuring the success of First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and graduates. We are Manitoba's only research-intensive university, and one of the country’s top research institutions. We attract people from around the world who share our ideals and vision for positive change. We believe in embracing challenges and taking action. Our students, researchers and alumni bring their unique voices to learning and discovery, shaping new ways of doing things and contributing to important conversations in topics that matter most, from human rights to global health to climate change. We are where imagination and action collide.
