Research at UQAR is distinguished by its interdisciplinary approach, which is fostered by three areas of research excellence: marine sciences, regional development and nordicity.
In addition to its Rimouski and Lévis campuses, UQAR offers university training throughout Eastern Quebec, from the Chaudière-Appalaches region to that of Gaspésie-Iles-de-la- Madeleine, via the Haute-Côte-Nord and the Manicouagan. It also has permanent offices in Gaspé and Rivière-du-Loup.
