Distribution and relative abundance of diadromous fishes in Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador in 2020

Data on the abundance of diadromous fish and their habitats. Data were collected from July 7 to October 12, 2020, in streams around Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. Human observations and electrofishing were used as the method of sampling fish. These data are intended to provide baseline information on diadromous fishes and their habitat prior to the influence of significant human activity.

The project was carried out by Kelly MacDonald, Gary McKeown, Tyler Lanteigne, Madisson Philips, Shawn Leroux, Craig Buy in collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland. This project is an integral part of Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Coastal Environmental Baseline Program.
