Invasive Alien Species (IAS) Action Plan of Charlevoix (2017)

Characterizations carried out on various wetlands and inventories of wild dumps have made it possible to locate important wetlands and assess the threats that may affect them. One of the threats highlighted following these inventories is the presence of invasive alien species (IAS).

This action plan presents an overall portrait of the IAS problem in the Charlevoix region's river corridor, a summary of the IAS observed during the 2014-2015 inventories, the IAS colonies to be prioritized, the IAS issues deemed to be of concern, prevention and control methods, and finally a strategy and methods of control at a targeted site.
