Marine Mammal Sightings From the Whale Alert Application

The Whale Alert app allows users to report observations of the presence of whales, whether alive, dead, or in a vulnerable state, which provides crucial information for researchers and decision-makers. Whale Alert incorporates a long list of threatened and endangered species, such as the blue whale and the North Atlantic right whale, and covers Canadian and US waters. Users can play a direct role in the conservation of these species by reporting sightings of live, dead, and distressed animals. For more information, please see the data context.

Note: Sightings within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the USA aren't available through SLGO.
