Physico-chemical data collected on lobster fishing grounds around the Magdalen Islands. This data collection is carried out by Merinov as part of the project Deployment of a multiparametric decision support tool for the opening date of the lobster fishery for Lobster Fishing Area 22 (LFA22) of the Rassemblement des pêcheurs et pêcheuses des côtes des Îles (RPPCI). This project is funded by the Fonds des Pêches du Québec (MAPAQ and DFO), over 2 years. This data is collected during fishing trips. It includes temperature data collected by 4 buoys that were deployed in 2 different locations as well as temperature and salinity data collected using a CTD on 5 different stations.
You can find the other data from the project “Multiparametric decision support tool for the opening date of the lobster fishery in LFA 22" in the catalogue. Data from the pre-season fishery are available here (https://catalogue.ogsl.ca/dataset/ca-cioos_9c10259d-9433-4be2-abf9-7eb8b5fac5ad) and data on monitoring lobster egg development can be seen here (https://catalogue.ogsl.ca/dataset/ca-cioos_3baf0a9e-de19-42b4-bcf7-1d51369333bd).
