This dataset contains an integrated coastal zone management plan and a cartographic compendium for the Gaspé Bay sector. The integrated management plan was prepared by the Baie-de-Gaspé Concertation Committee in collaboration with various partners.
This report first provides a portrait of the territory with a description of the physical environments, ecological components, the historical portrait, the socio-economic components and then, the occupation of the territory. It also contains an action plan containing the main issues related to the coastal zone, as well as the actions to be implemented for the integrated management of Gaspé Bay. It is the product of a coastal committee, active from 2001 to 2006, and made up of representatives from various sectors of activity: municipal, environmental, economic, etc.
