Freshwater Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Monitoring Program in the St. Lawrence River from 2018 to 2022 - Data from the Quebec Region

Fisheries and Oceans Canada has implemented a monitoring program for freshwater aquatic invasive species (AIS) in the St. Lawrence River, which began in 2018. The data in this database covers the Quebec region for the 2018-2022 period. The objectives of this program are to detect new AIS as quickly as possible, to monitor their dispersal and to minimize the risks of introduction and dispersal through awareness and rapid response.

The freshwater aquatic invasive species monitoring program focuses on six species, including four pelagic crustaceans and the veliger larvae of two mussels of the family Dreissenidae. For more information, please see the data background.
