Of all the tributaries of the St. Lawrence river present in the area served by the Comité ZIP RNE, the Moulin River at Baude is certainly one of those whose water quality is of the most concern. Indeed, it is likely that this river is largely responsible for the closure, due to bacteriological contamination, of a shell area located at its mouth. However, we have little information about the waters of this river and the factors that affect its quality. Consequently, priority should be given to acquiring knowledge on this subject with a view to establishing, in consultation with the community, avenues of action aimed at the rehabilitation of this watercourse and the associated uses.
